BCIPI members provide professional house and property inspection services

About the Designations
BCIPI members who are fully certified and qualified to provide inspection services will have one of the following professional designations... Certified Property Inspector (CPI) or Certified House Inspector (CHI). The professional designation is granted to the individual, not the company they work for.
An Associate Inspector is a BCIPI member working towards full certification and would generally work under the supervision of a CHI or CPI when providing house or property inspection services.
Inspector-in-Training (IIT) is a new entrant into the industry who has yet to complete all the courses and the requisite number of inspections for certification. An IIT is not yet authorized to offer inspection services to the public.

Inspection Services
Single Family Dwelling inspections are performed in accordance with the BCIPI Standards of Inspection. You should familiarize yourself with the purpose, scope and limitations of the inspection as outlined in Part 2 and Part 3 of the noted standards. Prior to engaging an inspector, you should clarify what services the inspector may or may not offer as a condition of their professional certification.
